Role Overview:
Full responsibility for enterprise databases in a large-scale environment, including setup, maintenance, upgrades, performance optimization and migration of data warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize MSSQL, Vertica (On-Prem) and BigQuery (GCP) environments
- Performance tuning: Indexing, Execution Plans, query optimization and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Vertica, PowerShell)
- Work with CDC and replication tools
- Handle complex production issues and ensure system stability
- Design and implement DR and High Availability solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Strong experience with large databases and complex queries
- Proven hands-on performance tuning experience
- Strong scripting skills in T-SQL and/or PL/SQL
- Experience with Vertica and/or BigQuery – advantage
