Board Designer

A leading Israeli defense technology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced sonar and underwater acoustic sensing systems is expanding its hardware engineering division.

Role Overview:

• End-to-End Board Design: Designing complex High-Speed Digital and Mixed-Signal boards from initial concept to full production.
• Advanced Architecture: Implementing high-performance components, including FPGA, DDR, SerDes, and Microprocessors (µP).
• Analog & Power Systems: Applying deep knowledge in analog design and power management systems to support sensitive acoustic sensing hardware.
• Schematic Mastery: Leading the schematic design process using OrCAD, performing signal integrity simulations, and providing expert support for PCB layout.
• Board Bring-up & Debug: Taking full ownership of the bring-up phase, including debugging, hardware validation, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partnering closely with System, Software, and Mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware integration within complex underwater systems.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in Board Design – Mandatory.
• Deep hands-on experience with High-Speed Digital and Mixed-Signal designs – Mandatory.
• Proficiency in OrCAD for schematic design – Mandatory.
• Proven experience with FPGA-based designs and high-speed interfaces (DDR, SerDes) – Mandatory.
• Strong background in Analog design and Power Supply systems – Mandatory.
• Experience in the defense, aerospace, or multidisciplinary systems industries – Significant Advantage.
