Data Engineer

A premier, high-growth Cybersecurity R&D organization is expanding its specialized data division. The company focuses on groundbreaking cyber research and executes mission-critical projects for the Israeli defense and intelligence communities.

The company is located in Central Israel and maintains an in-office work model. Due to the nature of the work, a security clearance process is required.

Role Overview:

• Professional Leadership: Serving as the technical lead for a multidisciplinary team including Analysts, Developers, and Data Engineers, reporting to the Team Lead.
• Architecture & Design: Taking full ownership of the design and development of large-scale Data Pipelines within a high-security On-Prem environment.
• Hands-on Engineering: Leading complex development tasks using Python to process and manage massive datasets.
• Process Optimization: Implementing and scaling data orchestration and ingestion workflows using Airflow and NiFi.
• Data Infrastructure: Managing and optimizing high-performance data stores including MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

Requirements:

• 7 years of professional experience as a Big Data / Data Engineer – Mandatory.
• 3 years of strong Python development experience – Mandatory.
• Proven hands-on experience with Airflow – Mandatory.
• Deep technical expertise in Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Splunk – Mandatory.
• Experience with Apache NiFi or similar data integration tools – Mandatory.
• Experience working in On-Premise or air-gapped environments.
• Strong architectural vision and the ability to lead technical processes within a team.
• Ability to undergo a Security Clearance process.
