Backend Team Leader

A highly successful Unicorn technology company is expanding its core engineering leadership. Backed by a substantial Series C funding round, the organization operates at a global scale with hundreds of employees and a market-leading platform.

They specialize in building complex, high-availability systems that leverage multi-cloud environments to solve large-scale enterprise challenges.

The company maintains multiple offices in Central Israel (including train-accessible locations) and offers a hybrid work model with remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Technical Management: Leading a team of 8 engineers, providing professional mentorship, and driving high-quality execution.
• Hands-on Leadership: Maintaining a flexible hands-on presence based on team needs, staying deeply involved in architectural decisions and code quality.
• Modern Infrastructure: Driving the development of Microservices architectures deployed across leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
• System Orchestration: Overseeing complex environments using Kubernetes and Docker to ensure scalability and performance.
• Lifecycle Ownership: Managing the full development lifecycle, from initial design to production, while optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development – Mandatory.
• 2+ years of experience in team management – Mandatory.
• Strong professional background in Python development – Mandatory.
• Proven experience working with Kubernetes in production environments – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of Cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and modern CI/CD methodologies.
• High-level architectural skills and the ability to lead developers through complex technical challenges.
