An innovative AI Analytics company is redefining the shopping experience through advanced machine learning and predictive modeling. Originally founded by ML experts and backed by tens of millions of dollars in funding, the company was recently acquired by a Fortune 500 retail giant.
The R&D center is located in Central Israel and offers an exceptionally flexible hybrid model with three days of remote work.
Role Overview:
- Technical Leadership: Joining as a Senior Engineer within the core R&D team, taking ownership of complex features and leading high-level design.
- Scalable Architecture: Designing and evolving a Microservices ecosystem built to handle high-volume data and real-time processing.
- End-to-End Development: Developing mission-critical server-side components using Java in a GCP-based cloud environment.
- Data Innovation: Working with advanced data pipelines and distributed systems (Kafka, Elastic, Kubernetes) to support high-accuracy AI models.
- Mentorship: Providing technical guidance and support to other developers while maintaining high standards for OOP/OOD and code quality.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Senior Backend, Server, or Infrastructure Engineer – Mandatory.
- Deep hands-on experience with Java in high-volume, multithreaded, cloud-based environments – Mandatory.
- Strong understanding of OOP/OOD principles – Mandatory.
- Proven experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development – Mandatory.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field – Mandatory.
- Background in Big Data technologies, data pipelines, or Data Lake implementation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud (GCP) is a significant advantage).
- Proficiency with modern tech stacks including Kafka, Kubernetes, or PostgreSQL.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead projects from design to production.
