Wanted: Research Assistant for a biotech company in Tel Aviv

We are looking for a Research Assistant to join our dynamic R&D team in Tel Aviv (Alon Towers).

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge genetic research and contribute to the development of personalized nutrition and medicine solutions.

What you will be working on:

• Reading and interpreting leading genomic studies, with a focus on GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Studies)
• Working with genetic data structures such as VCF files and genotype/phenotype tables
• Strong expertise in DNA sequencing methodologies, with specialization in whole genome sequencing (WGS), including a deep understanding of complex genomic variations such as copy number variations (CNVs) and hybridization techniques.
• Supporting genetic data analyses and product innovation
• Collaborating with experts in genomics, nutrition science, and data science

What we are looking for:

• MSc or PhD in Genetics, Nutrition Science, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Data Science with a biological orientation
• Strong ability to understand and analyze scientific papers in genomics (GWAS knowledge is a must)
• Deep understanding of genetic data structures
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow
• High level of English for reading scientific literature

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python or R
• Familiarity with genetic databases or bioinformatics tools
• Background in statistics or data analysis

Location: Tel Aviv (on-site, full-time)

Salary: 10,000–12,000 NIS
