About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, operational Director of Finance to own the finance function end-to-end and build something amazing. We have the required infrastructure, and now we need someone to think outside the box and support our next stage of growth & scale. This role requires a leader with experience in asset-backed securities/lending, banking, or fintech, a proven ability to navigate complex revenue streams and flows, and the creativity to design and build processes. You’ll be a close partner to our CEO and an integral member of the leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the full finance function from the ground up, including accounting, compliance, payroll, treasury, and reporting.
• Expertise in Financial Planning and experience managing budgets to ensure long-term organizational growth.
• Partner closely with the CEO on strategic processes — funding, debt financing, securitization, and secondary markets.
• Collaborate with the COO on daily operational aspects, including budget management, actuals, and financial projections.
• Design and implement financial infrastructure, systems, and scalable processes to support rapid company growth.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to inform key business decisions.
• Manage cash flow, capital structure, and investor reporting.
• Track and analyze KPIs to drive accountability and performance across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant U.S. financial regulations.
• Work cross-functionally to design solutions for non-standard and complex transaction flows.
• Act as project manager for key finance-related initiatives.

About You

• 5+ years of finance experience, including senior operational leadership.
• Background in asset-backed securities/lending, banking, or fintech.
• Proven track record of building finance functions from the ground up.
• Strong analytical skills and a KPI-driven mindset, detail-oriented.
• Highly creative with the ability to problem-solve in fast-moving environments.
• Resilient, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Strong project management is a must
• Tech savvy and AI experience - a big advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a CPA is a must. An MBA qualification is highly desirable.
