Senior Data Scientist

One of our clients, a global industrial infrastructure and manufacturing corporation, is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist / Principal AI Engineer to join its advanced AI innovation center.

The company operates worldwide and employs over 12,000 people. Its AI division serves as a strategic hub responsible for designing and deploying high impact, production grade AI solutions that drive operational excellence across global manufacturing environments.

The team focuses on building practical, enterprise level AI systems that improve core business operations, particularly in Supply Chain Optimization, Production Planning, and Factory Scheduling.

This role is centered on non visual, business oriented AI systems built on structured operational data. It is not a Computer Vision or image processing position.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands on applied AI role with full end to end ownership. The selected candidate will lead the design and deployment of advanced AI solutions in areas such as Supply Chain Optimization, Production Planning, Factory Scheduling, and Operational Process Automation.

The position requires strong algorithmic thinking combined with real world production execution. It is not a pure research role and measurable business impact is a key objective.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead AI driven initiatives focused on supply chain and production optimization
• Design and implement advanced algorithms for operational decision making
• Develop and deploy Tabular Machine Learning models at enterprise scale
• Build AI agents and intelligent decision support systems
• Translate complex operational challenges into scalable AI solutions
• Own the lifecycle from prototype through production deployment
• Continuously improve deployed systems based on real world performance

Technical Focus

• Strong emphasis on Tabular ML using structured operational datasets
• Predictive modeling, optimization, and scheduling algorithms
• Enterprise decision support AI systems
• Python based development including Pandas, Scikit learn, and PyTorch
• Experience with Generative AI and AI agents in business applications is an advantage
• The role centers around complex, structured, operational data and not visual data.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field. MSc / Ph.D. is an advantage
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied Research
• Strong hands on Python and machine learning expertise
• Proven experience deploying models to production environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset
