Team Lead – Software Development (COBOL/C++/Java)
Location: Holon, Israel | Hybrid
A leading company providing IT and communication services in the banking sector in is seeking a Team Lead for software development.
This is a full managerial role focused on leading a development team, defining technology strategy, and managing end-to-end development cycles for critical core banking systems in a complex and stable financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software developers and system engineers.
- Manage end-to-end development processes: requirements, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Ensure code quality and engineering standards through Code Reviews and Design Reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, conduct technical investigations, and maintain system availability and stability.
- Work in a sensitive, high-availability environment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing software development teams – Mandatory.
- Strong development experience in COBOL, C++, and Java – Mandatory.
- Experience with core systems in financial organizations.
- Experience developing or leading development of mission-critical core systems – Significant advantage.
- Experience with Git version control and working in Agile methodologies.
- Willingness to maintain high availability, including occasional off-hours work as needed.
- Experience with Micro Focus COBOL in a Windows environment – Significant advantage.
