Senior Database Administrator

A large and stable public-sector organization is looking for an experienced Senior DBA to lead and support complex, large-scale data environments and strategic data initiatives.

This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical systems with significant national impact.

• Managing and maintaining large-scale enterprise databases
• Working with modern data warehouses (BigQuery / Vertica) including migration and performance optimization
• Performance monitoring, load analysis, query optimization and execution plan analysis (MSSQL)
• Indexing strategy and performance tuning
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts (SQL / T-SQL / PowerShell)
• Working with CDC and replication tools
• Troubleshooting complex database issues
• Collaboration with Infrastructure DBA, Development, Data Science and BI teams
• Implementing security policies and access management
• Designing and maintaining DR and High Availability solutions

Location: Tel Aviv / Jerusalem (Hybrid)

Full-time position

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience as a DBA – mandatory

Proven experience working with large databases and complex queries

Strong experience in Performance Tuning, Execution Plans and Indexing

Experience writing SQL / T-SQL scripts

Experience with CDC and replication

Experience working in cloud environments – advantage

Experience with BigQuery / Vertica – significant advantage

PowerShell and/or Python – advantage

High-level technical English
