QA Team Leader - Apps Platform

We’re on the hunt for a battle-tested QA Team Leader to join the Apps Platform group at Overwolf. This is where quality meets scale, and where the tools powering millions of gamers are forged. You will lead the QA charge for some of our most critical platform components and SDKs, while staying hands-on with both manual and automated testing.

This hybrid role blends leadership, strategy, and execution. You will set the quality standard, guide a team of sharp QA engineers, and work side by side with developers, product managers, and creators to ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly at every level.

We’re looking for a strong technical background, a B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree, someone who feels at home with SDKs, APIs, and complex platform systems, and is ready to take ownership of quality across the Apps Platform ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Lead and mentor the QA team within the Apps Platform group
• Own the quality strategy for multiple platform components and SDKs
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests
• Build and maintain structured test plans for ongoing iterations
• Define and improve QA methodologies, processes, and automation coverage
• Manage and delegate QA tasks, ensuring proper coverage and timely delivery
• Own and manage the QA infrastructure, including Testmo and automation frameworks
• Develop deep familiarity with the Overwolf platform and its developer-facing APIs
• Provide actionable feedback to improve developer documentation, SDK usability, and tooling
• Define and drive the automation strategy, increasing automated coverage and reducing reliance on manual testing
• Own the security testing strategy, including vulnerability identification, secure development validation, and integration of security testing into CI/CD pipelines
  
  

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent technical degree is mandatory
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation or software development
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Working knowledge of Elvish and Dwarfish
  
  

• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Practical experience with test planning and management platforms (experience working with Testmo is an advantage)
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming culture
