Java Team Lead

The company is located in Tel Aviv and operates a hybrid work model with one day of remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Team Leadership: Managing a Backend team of 4–5 engineers focused on the company’s flagship B2C product.
• Technical Ownership: Leading architecture and design efforts for high-scale systems that serve tens of thousands of active monthly users.
• Hands-on Impact: Maintaining a 20% hands-on presence, reporting directly to the Group Lead.
• Complex Scaling: Tackling challenges related to real-time financial transactions and high-availability infrastructure over AWS.
• Mentorship & Hiring: Overseeing professional development and leading recruitment efforts for the growing team.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a management or team lead role – Mandatory.
• 7 years of experience in Backend Development – Mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, or Kotlin (does not have to be the most recent stack) – Mandatory.
• Proven experience working in Cloud environments (specifically AWS) – Mandatory.
• Experience in Startups and Product-oriented companies – Mandatory.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related technical field – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of architecture and design within a Linux environment
