Project Management Officer

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a PMO for a Government Organization

We are looking for an experienced PMO to join a professional team specializing in technological outsourcing within a governmental environment.

Role Overview

This position is part of a technology outsourcing unit and involves working closely with the department manager and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and professional support for technological outsourcing processes

• Support and monitor competitive tender procedures

• Work closely with technology professionals and procurement/finance teams

• Ensure compliance with the Mandatory Tenders Law, Accountant General (Takam) regulations, and internal government procedures

• Assist in preparing tender and RFP documents

• Manage bidder inquiries and coordinate support for Tender Committees

• Work with internal and external stakeholders (Project Managers, Legal Advisors, Vendors, Technology Consultants)

• Continuously learn and implement government procurement standards and methodologies for technology outsourcing

• Perform data analysis and generate reports

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in technological project management and control

• 3+ years of experience in public procurement and tender processes

• Strong familiarity with the Mandatory Tenders Law, Takam regulations, and government procurement procedures

• Basic understanding of IT domains (software development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.)

• Strong analytical skills and reporting capabilities

• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies

• Law degree or legal background – significant advantage
