Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Senior Cyber Researcher for a key Government Organization

We are looking for an expert-level Cyber Researcher to lead advanced cloud investigations and technological intelligence research in a national-impact environment.

Role Overview

This role focuses on deep cloud-based cyber investigations and advanced threat research across diverse cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth cyber investigations in cloud environments and define cloud investigation methodologies

• Perform advanced technological intelligence research on sophisticated cloud-based cyber attacks

• Identify investigation artifacts and reconstruct attack chains

• Provide advanced research-based detection, identification, and alerting capabilities for cloud threats

• Enrich investigation teams with technological intelligence insights

• Write detailed research reports on cloud attacks to support targeted alerts for organizations and national stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of high-level cyber research and/or development experience, with strong focus on cloud investigation and research

• Hands-on expertise in at least two of the following domains:

Malware research / Vulnerability research / Forensics / Reverse engineering / Communication protocols / Penetration testing / Research tool development / Big Data

• Research experience in at least two of the following areas:

Network threats / Cyber intelligence / Attack infrastructures / Incident Response / Monitoring systems / Intelligence data analysis / Tool development

• Advanced knowledge of operating systems, security principles, communication protocols, and data networks

• Strong independent work capability, systems thinking, and high technological affinity
