Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer – Haifa

For a challenging role in establishing a completely new data platform (Greenfield), we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with technological leadership capabilities and experience working in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establishing and building a Serverless data platform in the cloud (AWS / Azure)

- Establishing a Data Control Tower: data quality, lineage, monitoring, and anomalies

- Developing ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering processes

- Designing scalable, resilient systems and DR

- Working with CI/CD and IaC (Terraform / Bicep / CloudFormation)

- Close collaboration with Development and Data Science teams

Requirements:

- years of experience in cloud data (AWS / Azure) +5

- Experience in establishing and managing Serverless platforms and Spark / PySpark

- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL

- Experience with Lakehouse (Delta / Iceberg / Hudi)

- Knowledge of data quality tools (Great Expectations / Deequ)

- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English
