Project Data Manager

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Data Lake Project Manager for a Government Organization

We are looking for an experienced Data Project Manager to lead a large-scale municipal Data Lake initiative within the Technology Division.

Role Overview

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision, execution, and cross-organizational alignment of a city-wide Data Lake platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the municipal Data Lake project within the Technology Division

• Define and drive project strategy together with key stakeholders

• Plan and manage end-to-end project execution

• Directly manage the project team’s work and deliverables

• Lead cross-organizational initiatives with internal technology teams and external partners

• Work closely with the municipal analytics team

• Oversee data ingestion, processing, transformation, and quality improvement processes

• Guide enterprise-wide data modeling and development of data-driven outputs

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the data domain

• At least 5 years of proven experience in project management

• Experience leading Data Lake or Data Warehouse projects in large organizations

• Experience planning and managing data pipelines (ingestion, processing, transformation, enrichment)

• Experience in enterprise data modeling and cross-organizational data entity design

• Experience delivering data-based products and solutions
