A leading financial organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Risk Management Tribe – the delivery arm responsible for executing strategic and regulatory initiatives within the division.

This is a hands-on data development role focused on Python and data engineering (not classic software development), offering the opportunity to take part in a significant technological transformation within an advanced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop end-to-end data pipelines in a Data Lake environment
  • Design and implement data movement processes in relational systems
  • Develop Python scripts with a strong emphasis on PySpark
  • Write and maintain complex SQL queries
  • Perform Unit and Integration testing
  • Work within CI/CD processes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Python development
  • 2+ years of experience in Big Data technologies, with a focus on Spark and Hive
  • Strong experience writing complex SQL queries
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Data technologies (SSIS, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with DWH, Data Lake, and ETL/ELT processes

Advantage:

  • Experience with Teradata, Qlik Sense, and Quilliup
  • Strong advantage: familiarity with the banking sector
  • Experience working with CI/CD and Control-M
