NovoDia builds AI-powered instructional materials for K–12 schools. We combine pedagogy, design, and technology to create clear, engaging learning experiences tailored to each district.
Role
Design the learning activities inside our lessons. Each activity is a small product. Together, they form a playground of learning experiences. You’ll take complex pedagogical ideas and turn them into simple, intuitive, and engaging experiences that students can complete independently and teachers can rely on in real classrooms.
What you’ll do
- Design end-to-end learning activities (concept → polished UI)
- Turn pedagogy briefs into clear, low-friction user flows
- Design complex interactions (read & respond, multi-step reasoning, guided tasks)
- Build activities that scale across subjects, grades, levels, and languages
- Design for real constraints: scoring, differentiation, accessibility
- Maintain a consistent design system across diverse activity types
- Work in Figma AI to rapidly explore, iterate, and define high-quality UI and interactions before development
- Collaborate with product, pedagogy, and engineering to ship production-ready experiences
The challenge
There are very few references for this type of product. You are designing experiences that need to be highly engaging and highly educational at the same time, while working within a system that scales across many use cases. Great work here means students stay engaged through the full activity, learn more effectively, and their grades improve.
Requirements
- 4+ years as a Product Designer (tech)
- Strong UX/UI portfolio
- High proficiency in Figma (including AI workflows)
- Strong interaction and micro-interaction design
- Ability to simplify complex systems
- Fluent English
- 3+ days/week availability
Preferred
- Experience designing interactive or game-like systems
- EdTech / learning products
- Startup experience
