The Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend & DevSecOps Engineer who is a true "Owner" of the server-side. In this hybrid role, you won't just write business logic; you will be the architect and guardian of our backend infrastructure. You will develop complex features in Django, build and manage our deployment pipelines, and ensure our cloud infrastructure and application layers are highly secure and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Ownership: Develop, maintain, and scale robust server-side applications using Django and Python. Manage the entire backend lifecycle.
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Manage container-based deployments (Docker) and oversee cloud infrastructure health.
• Security (DevSecOps): Implement and enforce security best practices across the application and infrastructure. Perform server hardening, manage authentication/authorization, and protect sensitive medical data against vulnerabilities (OWASP).
• Database Mastery: Write efficient queries, manage schema migrations, and optimize our PostgreSQL databases and Redis caching layers.
• API & Integrations: Design seamless RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous workflows.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience, heavily focused on Backend, DevOps, or Cloud Security.
• Backend Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Python and Django.
• DevOps Skills: Strong proficiency with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Security Mindset: Proven experience in web application security, server hardening, and data protection methodologies.
• Database Proficiency: Strong practical experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Mindset: Capable of working independently, taking full ownership of infrastructure and features.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with frontend integration.

Work Model: Hybrid (Binyamina office 3 days/week).
