Senior System Designer

As a member of the AppWork team, you’ll be helping to build and deliver technology that solves real problems, makes communities run better, and creates happier teams and residents.

About The Role

AppWork is in a strong period of hyper-growth. To support this momentum, we are shifting from one-off designs to a unified, scalable system.

Your goal is to help us make the product even more intuitive and consistent, with the finesse it deserves in our journey to becoming a multi-billion dollar company. You will achieve this by building a system so intuitive and logic-driven that our designers can focus on Discovery, not pixels, while increasing engineering and design velocity.

You won't just be "organizing Figma components", you will be defining the physics of our product.

What You'll Do

• Architect the "Single Source of Truth": Build and maintain a robust Figma Design System that is easy to use and impossible to break.
• Enforce "Logic-First" Design: Your components won't just look good; they will handle edge cases (empty states, errors, loading) by default, forcing designers to think through the logic before they ship.
• The "Self-Serve" Audit: You will document usage guidelines so clearly that a new designer can onboard themselves and start shipping value on Day 1 without asking "How do I build this?"
  
  

• 5+ Years Experience: Proven track record of building and maintaining a design system from the ground up for a SaaS product.
• The Architect Mindset: You don't just design screens; you design systems. You understand Atomic Design principles and can explain how a change in a button impacts the entire platform.
• Figma Mastery: You are fluent in advanced prototyping and component properties.
• Assertive Ownership: You are comfortable pushing back on "rogue designs" that break the system. You can evangelize consistency without being the "Brand Police"
