About The Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science Studio and drive innovation in cloud security. In this role, you will own machine learning and AI projects end-to-end from initial research and experimentation through development, deployment, and production management.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who thrives on collaborating with brilliant people and seeing their work make a real-world impact, protecting thousands of organizations worldwide.

What You'll Do:

• Lead end-to-end ML projects: Own the complete lifecycle of machine learning initiatives in cloud security from problem formulation and research through model development, deployment, and ongoing production management
• Develop production-grade ML models: Build and deploy scalable, robust ML solutions for cloud threat detection, anomaly identification, and security risk assessment
• Drive innovation in cloud security: Research and implement state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning and AI to solve novel security challenges in cloud environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with security researchers to understand threat landscapes, work with engineers to ensure seamless production integration, and engage with product managers to align solutions with customer needs
• Mentor and influence: Share knowledge with team members, contribute to technical strategy, and help establish best practices for ML development and deployment
• Stay ahead: Work within an ever-advancing team that adopts new R&D technologies
  
  

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, with demonstrated ability to deliver production ML systems
• Strong ML fundamentals: Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, with proven ability to select and apply appropriate techniques to complex problems
• End-to-end ownership experience: Track record of taking ML projects from research through production deployment and ongoing management
• Production ML expertise: Experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML models in production environments, including monitoring, debugging, and optimization
• Programming proficiency: Strong coding skills in Python and ML frameworks; experience with cloud platforms is a plus
• Security domain knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity concepts is highly desirable; experience in cloud security is a significant plus
• Collaborative mindset: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving excellence: Demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous, complex problems with creative, data-driven solutions
