System Engineer

System Engineer | Ashdod, Israel | IAI ELTA Systems

ELTA’s Tactical Combat Systems Division is looking for a System Engineer to join our team.

The position includes:

• Managing the engineering development process for multi-sensor systems that integrate hardware and software

• Leading the engineering lifecycle from design reviews, technical definitions, integration, and testing through delivery and installation at the customer site

• Managing system and subsystem technical requirements

• Leading design reviews with customers in Israel and abroad

• Managing technical risks in projects

• Planning and executing development and customer tests, including analysis of results

• Defining and managing project engineering knowledge

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – required

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering – strong advantage

• At least 3 years of experience in developing engineering systems – required

• Experience in integration engineering or in systems of systems – advantage

• Experience working across disciplines such as hardware and software

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and configuration management – advantage

• Experience writing technical specifications and leading design reviews

• Experience with sensors such as radar and optics – advantage

• Knowledge of MATLAB – advantage

• High-level English proficiency

• Willingness to travel abroad when required

Good to know:

This role offers broad engineering responsibility for advanced multi-sensor combat systems integrated into various land platforms. You will be involved in all phases, from design reviews and definitions to integration, testing, and delivery. The position includes collaboration with subcontractors at ELTA and with customers in Israel and abroad, as well as performing tests and integrations both locally and at customer sites.
