Assistant Controller

We are hiring for a leading organization based in the Tel Aviv District, an Assistant Controller.

The role involves significant professional responsibility for financial close processes, IFRS implementation, internal controls, and ongoing work with external auditors.

Requires the ability to handle complex accounting matters alongside multiple parallel tasks.

The position demands a high level of professional independence, personal accountability, and task ownership, while working closely within the finance team and across multiple organizational interfaces.

Role Description

• Participate in and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across a group of companies

• Implement International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and address complex accounting issues

• Prepare working papers, complex journal entries, and reconciliations

• Involvement in preparation of consolidated financial statements and consolidation processes

• Perform basic financial analysis: revenue, profitability, KPIs, budget vs. actuals

• Prepare materials for tax reporting and external audits and provide professional responses during audits

• Responsibility for internal financial reporting controls

• Assist in implementation of procedures, financial process improvements, and standardization across group entities

• Ongoing collaboration with finance, accounting, business units, banks, tax authorities, and external auditors

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• 3–5 years of experience including internship

• Practical knowledge and experience implementing IFRS

• Experience with monthly and annual closing processes

• Experience working with external auditors

• Strong ability to work independently alongside teamwork skills, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
