Senior Java Architect / Technical Lead (Hands-on)

A self-funded, profitable SaaS company based in Modiin is seeking a senior engineer to serve as the CTO's technical right-hand.

We are growing steadily — without investors, without funding pressure, and without compromising engineering standards.

This is a high-impact architectural role inside a live production system serving thousands of daily users.

• Mature Object-Oriented Java monolith (single-tier architecture)
• Modern services built with Spring / Spring Boot
• AWS-based production workloads

What You Will Own

• Architectural decisions and long-term system evolution
• Refactoring and modernization of legacy Java components
• API design, scalability, performance optimization
• Production reliability and observability
• Engineering standards, code quality, and mentoring
• Direct partnership with the CTO on technical strategy

Required Experience:

• 6+ years building backend-heavy production systems
• Deep understanding of classic Object-Oriented Java (monolithic architectures)
• Strong hands-on Spring / Spring Boot experience
• Experience evolving legacy systems
• Proven ownership of production environments (performance tuning, debugging under load)
• Strong system design skills
• AWS experience
