Security Architect

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join a growing team in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing, assessing, and advising on the security architecture and practices across complex IT environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded into the design, development, and operation of IT systems and services.

Your focus will be on identifying security risks, ensuring compliance with recognized security standards, and guiding the implementation of effective security controls. You will play a key role in reviewing security concepts, conducting assessments, and maintaining a high security posture across enterprise IT systems.

What You Will Do:

Security architecture reviews & assessments

Review and audit cloud, infrastructure, and application architectures, as well as critical code components, to ensure alignment with security standards and best practices. Identify gaps, recommend improvements, and validate security controls for both new and existing systems.

Security standards & compliance

Define, review, and help enforce security standards and frameworks (such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST) by evaluating policies, controls, and architectural decisions across IT initiatives.

Risk assessment & threat modeling

Proactively identify and assess security risks through threat modeling and risk assessments, ensuring vulnerabilities are addressed early in the system design and delivery lifecycle.

Security strategy & coaching

Provide strategic security guidance and hands-on coaching to development and infrastructure teams, embedding security principles into design, development, and operational processes.

Cross-functional collaboration

Work closely with product, engineering, infrastructure, and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated throughout all phases of system design, development, and deployment.

AI-assisted auditing

Assess AI- and ML-based security tools used for auditing and compliance, ensuring their outputs are trustworthy, secure, and aligned with enterprise security requirements.

What You Bring:

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on involvement in security architecture reviews, audits, and assessments for enterprise IT systems
• Strong experience designing and evaluating secure architectures across applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Solid background in security risk management, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation of common attack vectors (OWASP Top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25)
• Experience conducting security and compliance reviews across cloud, infrastructure, and application layers
• An agile, collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate security into fast-moving IT projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; security certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are an advantage
• Familiarity with AI and machine-learning systems, including the ability to evaluate security, privacy, and governance risks in AI-driven solutions
• Strong communication skills in English and Hebrew (German is a plus)
