Role Description This is a full-time on-site leadership role for a Head of R&D and Mechanical Engineering based in Haifa. As the technical leader of the company, you will spearhead the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualizing and designing complex machine parts to hands-on prototyping and systems integration.

You will be responsible for leading the R&D strategy, optimizing electro-mechanical systems including solar power, microcontrollers, and sensors, and driving our technology toward commercialization. Additionally, a critical part of this role involves leading international and local technological collaborations, strategic planning, and managing the technical writing and milestone definitions for major governmental and international funding programs.

Qualifications

• Academic Excellence: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a leading and recognized academic institution.
• Multidisciplinary Training: Additional background, certification, or hands-on training in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or multi-disciplinary systems integration is highly desirable.
• Engineering Leadership: Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles with proven experience leading R&D projects and guiding technical teams in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Design and Prototyping: High proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design tools, specifically SolidWorks. Experience translating 3D models into functional prototypes and manufacturing files.
