Engineering Group Manager

An elite Cybersecurity scale-up developing a disruptive real-time cloud threat detection platform.

The company is backed by Tier-1 VCs and industry icons, building a core engine that processes massive data volumes to intercept attacks within client cloud environments

Located in Tel Aviv (prime access to the train station), the company operates a hybrid work model

Role Overview:

• Leading the Agent Group, responsible for the core engineering and complex low-level development at the heart of the company’s product.
• Managing a group of 10–15 Low-Level Engineers (currently managing Team Leads and 6 direct reports, with rapid growth projections).
• Direct reporting to the VP R&D, involving high-level strategic involvement and direct interaction with global customers.
• Driving the architecture and implementation of high-performance agents residing within client cloud environments.
• Influencing the technical roadmap and company direction as a senior leadership figure.

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in managing managers (Group Manager level) – Mandatory.
• 7 years of total R&D leadership experience – Mandatory.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in Low-Level C/C++ development with a focus on Kernel/Internal – Mandatory.
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux Internals, Kernel, and eBPF – Mandatory.
• Proven background in elite military technology units (e.g., 8200, 81, Matzov) or top-tier cybersecurity firms – Mandatory.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of Cloud-native security environments – Significant Advantage.
• Ability to build, scale, and mentor elite engineering teams under high-pressure conditions.
