Data Vertical Leader (Freelance)

Elevation is looking for an experienced Data Vertical Leader (Freelance) to lead and shape our Data training domain. This role is focused on providing strategic subject-matter leadership, ensuring our learning solutions remain cutting-edge, relevant, and aligned with evolving industry needs.

Elevation is a learning and training company focused on solving the global talent shortage through Academy as a Service solutions. We partner with organizations to upskill and reskill employees and train new talent for in-demand roles through hands-on, practical learning at scale.

As a Data Vertical Leader, you will act as the professional authority for the domain, guiding program direction, mentoring trainers, advising on market needs, and ensuring our offerings reflect the latest developments in Data, and modern data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for the Data domain (e.g., Analytics, Data Engineering, BI, SQL, Python, ML, AI).
• Translate business and client needs into clear learning strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Guide and mentor trainers and content contributors to ensure professional depth and delivery excellence.
• Advise on curriculum direction and ensure alignment with current tools, technologies, and market demands (e.g., AI, cloud data platforms).
• Oversee program quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

• Support recruitment and professional onboarding of specialized trainers when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data (e.g., Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, AI).
• Proven experience in training, teaching, or leading professional learning programs.
• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of AI, machine learning, and modern data technologies.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured learning experiences.
• Availability of 15-30 hours per month (Freelance role).
