Senior Data Engineer

A leading defense company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer!

📍 Rehovot

Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale ETL/ELT processes for sensor, video, and image data; develop and optimize data processing workflows for structured and unstructured data; maintain and upgrade databases, Data Lakes, and storage systems; ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the entire data pipeline; work closely with algorithm, AI, software, and system engineering teams; support Data Science and Machine Learning processes including dataset preparation and feature extraction; lead the adoption of new data technologies, tools, and advanced best practices; troubleshoot and resolve issues in data processing and storage environments; take full ownership of data systems and drive improvements.

Requirements: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in data‑intensive environments; significant hands‑on experience developing ETL processes; strong proficiency in Python; practical experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools; experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with data processing frameworks and efficient data management methods; experience working in Linux environments and with server maintenance; experience supporting Data Science / Machine Learning workflows – an advantage; strong system‑level thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment.
