We are recruiting a COBOL Developer for a financial company located in central Israel.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain core systems in the long-term savings domain in a COBOL / UNIX environment
Design, develop, and write high-quality code, including end-to-end (E2E) testing
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in system analysis and technical specification processes, including the preparation of programming documentation
Work closely with various teams across the organization

Requirements:

4 years of experience in COBOL development in a UNIX environment or COBOL development experience in an insurance company
Experience working with SQL with Oracle DB and the ability to write complex queries
Background in technical specifications, structured documentation, and support of system-related incidents
Familiarity with the business domain of life insurance and long-term savings – an advantage
