Back End Developer (Elixir)

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on engineer with solid Elixir experience who genuinely enjoys building and shipping real systems. This is a role for someone who stays close to the code, thinks like a builder, and helps raise the bar for engineering through practical leadership and ownership. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment, help shape technical direction, and build scalable systems that support growing products and teams.

Requirements

• Around 3+ years of direct Elixir experience and ~7 years in software development overall
• A passionate, entrepreneurial builder mindset with a strong focus on clean, working code
• Deep understanding of high-performance SQL/NoSQL database design and optimization
• Solid experience with AWS, building and scaling solutions across different services
• Practical experience working with messaging or queueing tools like Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or Oban
• Comfortable in fast-moving startup or R&D settings, with exposure to growing teams and evolving products
• Able to work through unclear or changing requirements while staying accountable and moving things forward
• Focused on shipping quickly without compromising stability or production quality.
