R&D Lead

large-scale, data-driven ad campaigns using cloud computing, AI, and advanced algorithms.

We are looking for an R&D Lead to take ownership of our technology - someone who thrives on
building, not managing processes.
The Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a pure management position. You will write code daily,
design architecture, and mentor one developer (with room to grow the team as we scale).
What you will own:
- System architecture and hands-on backend development
- Cloud infrastructure and DevOps
- Code quality - including reviewing and validating AI-assisted code
- Mentoring a junior developer
- Collaborating directly with founders on tech-business alignment
Who You Are
Mindset matters most. We are looking for someone with a builder mentality:
- You see a problem and think 'I will figure it out' - not 'who will tell me what to do?'
- You have built things from scratch before, even if they were not perfect
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast
- You take ownership without needing constant validation
- You are confident but not arrogant - ego-free collaboration is key
Technical Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on development experience
- Strong backend expertise: Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js
- Cloud technologies and DevOps experience
- Experience designing scalable systems
- Ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated code
- High-level English proficiency
Nice to have:
- Startup experience (you know the pace)
- Background in Ad-Tech, Gaming, or Advertising
- Experience leading a small team (2-5 people)
