Cloud Group Leader & Solution Architect

We are looking for a visionary Cloud Group Leader & Solution Architect to lead the architecture and Global engineering of Risco Cloud - a large-scale, mission-critical IoT cloud platform powering connected security systems worldwide.

You will lead global engineering teams (15+ developers total):

• Backend technologies - .NET / C#, Azure cloud-native services, Kubernetes, SQL, APIs, distributed systems
• Frontend - Angular - JavaScript and TypeScript

This is a high-impact leadership role combining people leadership, cloud architecture ownership, IoT system design, AI-driven engineering transformation, and global collaboration.

Your Impact:

• Own and shape the architecture of a high-scale, globally distributed IoT cloud platform
• Design for massive scale, high availability, resilience, and performance
• Define and govern API strategy connecting devices, cloud services, and web applications
• Lead Secure-by-Design implementation across cloud and IoT environments
• Drive modernization using Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
• Introduce and scale AI-powered development workflows, leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, automation, and engineering productivity
• Lead and collaborate effectively across distributed global teams
• Mentor and grow engineers and technical leaders, building a strong and committed cloud organization
• Influence the long-term cloud and technology strategy of Risco

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 8+ years in leadership roles managing teams and senior engineers
• Proven experience working with and leading distributed teams in a global organization
• Strong architectural background in Azure, .NET / C#, APIs, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Solid experience with Angular - JavaScript/TypeScript (Flutter – advantage)
• Proven experience building and scaling large distributed cloud systems
• Experience with IoT architectures and device-to-cloud communication
• Deep understanding of cloud security and Secure-by-Design principles
• Experience leveraging AI tools to transform engineering productivity
