About your day-to-day:

Port is scaling fast, and execution is becoming one of our biggest strategic advantages. We’re looking for a VP Strategic Operations to partner closely with the CEO and leadership team, ensuring that our most important priorities are translated into clear plans and executed with speed, alignment, and accountability.

This role is a mix of strategy + business operations + cross-functional execution. It is designed for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and knows how to drive outcomes through people, structure, and decision-making.

As part of your day-to-day, you will:

• Own and drive company-wide strategic initiatives, from definition through execution
• Partner with the CEO to translate strategy into clear priorities, plans, and measurable outcomes
• Lead cross-functional execution across Product, R&D, GTM, Finance, and People
• Build and run Port’s operating cadence (OKRs, exec reviews, planning cycles, KPIs)
• Ensure leadership decisions are followed through with clarity, ownership, and deadlines
• Identify bottlenecks early, unblock teams, and improve execution velocity
• Support board-level preparation: narratives, metrics, strategic updates
• Improve organizational effectiveness by building lightweight processes that scale

This role will directly shape how Port scales. The VP Strategic Operations will help build the operating system that enables Port to grow from a fast-moving scale-up into a global category leader.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Consulting, or senior execution-focused leadership roles
• Proven track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives in high-growth tech companies
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and scaling dynamics
• Experience building execution frameworks (OKRs/KPIs, planning cycles, operating cadence)
• Strong executive communication skills (including board-facing storytelling)
• Highly structured, sharp thinker with strong business judgment
• Execution-driven: you push things forward and close loops
• Strong influencer who can lead without authority
• Low ego, high ownership, and extremely reliable
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building clarity for others
• Fast, proactive, and resilient in high-pressure environments
