Senior Data Engineer

A fast-growing and well-funded startup in the cybersecurity space is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join its core team.

The company builds advanced technology that helps enterprises identify and understand external threats targeting them, and already works with leading global customers.

This is a high impact role in a strong engineering environment, working on large-scale data systems that directly influence the product and business.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex, scalable Big Data ETL/ELT pipelines for both real-time and batch processing
• Implement and maintain best practices across the Data Lake and Data Warehouse, including Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Monitor and optimize pipeline and query performance for efficiency and cost
• Collaborate closely with Research and Software Engineers to translate business and product needs into robust data solutions
• Build reliable, end-to-end data infrastructure that supports core product capabilities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar Big Data-focused role
• Strong experience with distributed data systems such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
• Excellent coding skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with modern Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift) and Data Lakes (S3, ADLS)
• Experience working with a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
