Job Title: Data Center Engineer

Location: Kfar Saba, Israel

Duration: 12Months - Extendable

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Inventory, install, and rack client hardware in accordance with client standards and procedures.
• Perform cabling installations with proper cable management, organization, and labeling standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues in servers, switches, and other data center equipment.
• Replace components such as DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies, and transceivers in server, storage, and network devices.
• Execute commissioning and decommissioning of hardware equipment.
• Troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling issues.
• Install data center infrastructure materials including racks, cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, and cable management systems.
• Utilize ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) to provide timely and clear customer updates.
• Maintain effective communication with employees, contractors, and clients via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
• Participate in bridge calls to troubleshoot and validate infrastructure-related issues.
• Follow Change Control Processes and company standards.
• Escort and support third-party vendor activities as required.
• Ensure all tickets are processed within SLA guidelines and procedural requirements.
• Travel to remote data centers or colocation sites for maintenance activities.
• Interface with the Nlyte DCIM application for device configuration and decommissioning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in equipment rack and stack, cable termination, and network cable dressing following standard practices.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking).
• Hands-on experience with server hardware (CPU, RAM, RAID, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose hardware/software issues and coordinate with OEMs for hardware support.
• Experience conducting cabinet/cage audits and updating DC inventory systems.
• Skilled in installing/removing blades, cards, memory modules, hard drives, and transceivers.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber optic circuit testing and troubleshooting.
• Capable of performing rack-to-rack movement of IT equipment.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, logging, and storing internal packages.
• Ability to provide timely status updates using a ticketing system.
• Basic understanding of Compute, Network, Storage, and Operating Systems (added advantage).
