Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Back End Developer, located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. We are looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to grow into a senior role while working on real production systems operating at scale. The Back End Developer will focus on back-end web development, developing and maintaining server-side logic, and working with databases. Responsibilities include collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing features, writing clean, scalable code, and troubleshooting issues. The role also involves contributing to the design and implementation of software systems and ensuring application efficiency.

Requirements

Must Have

• 2–4 years of experience in backend development (Node.js preferred)

• Experience building and maintaining production REST APIs

• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await)

• Experience working with databases in production (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar)

• Experience integrating third-party APIs

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or GCP)

• Understanding of clean architecture and separation of concerns

• Experience working with Git and CI/CD workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience working with webhooks or event-driven flows

• Familiarity with GraphQL

• Experience with background jobs, queues, or message brokers

• Experience with Docker

• Experience in e-commerce environments (Shopify is a plus)
