General Manager Operations

A defense company is looking for a manager for a subsidiary in the United States.

The position is in Israel and includes full responsibility for the business activity, including budget, projects and operations of the subsidiary.

Working with the parent company in Israel, working with the purchasing, production, engineering and operations departments.

Periodic trips abroad as needed

Responsibilities

Management of the subsidiary's activities in the US from the headquarters in Israel, while being responsible for business and operational performance.

Leadership, operational execution, control of all project aspects in the parent company that support US activities (supply chain, logistics, development processes, testing, procurement, service, internal processes.

Building, supervising and implementing work plans and operational and business goals while understanding the companies' business world. Presenting them to management in cooperation with the subsidiary.

Ongoing budget control, business data analysis and financial understanding including pricing, costs and profitability

Improvement and streamlining of processes in the worlds of production, purchasing and assembly, defining indicators and monitoring compliance with targets.

Supervision of compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Job requirements

At least 5 years of experience in managing a similar activity, business unit, site in the US

Proven experience in leading complex operational activities.

Native-level English

Experience working with international entities / global headquarters - a significant advantage, with an emphasis on working with American entities.

Broad business understanding and management ability in a multicultural environment. Ability to pay attention, learn, manage at eye level

Travel abroad.
