Post Silicon Electrical Validation Student

An opportunity to join Broadcom Inc., Dune R&D Center (StrataDNX product-line), and take part in the development of future networking products! We are looking for a Post silicon Electrical Validation student to join our Chip Engineering team.

You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring that the physical hardware actually behaves the way the designers intended. Once a chip returns from the factory (the "Post-Silicon" phase), you will help test its hardware design and high-speed interfaces (like ETH, DRAM etc.) against industry standards and internal specifications. You will tackle modern, complex hardware challenges and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection: Execute test plans to characterize signal integrity parameters such as eye diagrams, jitter, and voltage margins.
• Automation: Write or modify scripts (usually in Python) to automate repetitive testing tasks and data parsing.
• Hardware Setup: Assist in the assembly and maintenance of validation platforms, including test boards, thermal tools, and lab equipment.
• Documentation: Organize test results and help generate validation reports to identify "bugs" in the silicon's physical layer.
  
  

• Education: Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Programming: Basic proficiency in Python for automation.
• Lab Experience: Familiarity with basic lab tools (multimeters, soldering irons) is a major plus.
