Role Description

We are looking for a Shift Electrical Technician / Practical Engineer to join our 24/7 Data Center Operations team in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut.

This is a full-time, on-site shift-based role responsible for the day-to-day operation and monitoring of mission-critical electrical systems within a high-availability AI data center.

The position focuses on maintaining uptime, responding to incidents, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of all electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate critical electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and backup generators

• Perform routine inspections and daily walkthroughs of electrical rooms and technical areas

• Respond to alarms, system alerts, and electrical faults in real time

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules and operational procedures

• Support corrective maintenance and assist external contractors when required

• Perform safe switching operations under supervision and according to approved procedures

• Record operational data, incidents, and maintenance activities in logs and DCIM/BMS systems

• Escalate abnormal conditions and support incident management processes

• Maintain strict adherence to electrical safety standards and site procedures

• Support load monitoring and capacity management in high-density AI environments

Qualifications

• Practical Engineering diploma in Electrical Engineering – mandatory

• Certified Electrician license – advantage

• At least 1–2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or technical operations

• Basic experience with LV/MV systems, UPS systems, and generators – advantage

• Ability to read single-line diagrams and basic electrical schematics

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work in a mission-critical environment

• High safety awareness and disciplined work approach

• Team player with good communication skills
