Tax Director

A global company is seeking a Director of Tax | Israel | European Scope | Reports to CFO

This is a senior, hands-on tax leadership role for an experienced tax professional who wants real ownership and impact.

The position sits at the center of the organization’s financial decision-making, with full responsibility for tax execution, planning, and governance across Israel and Europe.

This is not a large team-management role. It is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, shaping strategy, and building scalable tax processes in a growing, complex environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• End-to-end ownership of corporate tax compliance in Israel and European jurisdictions, including filings, payments, and audit management
• Preparation and review of tax provisions and disclosures under IFRS.
• Acting as the primary tax advisor to Finance and Legal on cross-border activity, financing structures, profit repatriation, and business expansion
• Providing hands-on tax input for new initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, and organizational changes
• Managing VAT and withholding tax matters in coordination with local finance teams and external advisors
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining transfer pricing policies and supporting documentation Establishing tax governance, policies, and internal controls, with exposure to SOX-aligned environments
• Building the foundation for a scalable, well-controlled tax function as the organization continues to grow

Job requirements:

• CPA or equivalent international tax qualification, with 8–10 years of relevant experience
• Strong hands-on background in Israeli and European corporate tax and VAT
• Solid understanding of IFRS tax accounting and international tax concepts
• Experience with international structures, transfer pricing, and cross-border financing
• Strong communication skills and a business-oriented mindset, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
• Comfortable operating independently, owning decisions, and working closely with external advisors and tax authorities

This role is ideal for someone coming from a Big 4 background or an in-house international role who wants broader ownership, visibility, and influence — without moving into pure people management.
