Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Junior Patent Attorney / Patent Trainee at ISUS Intellectual Property Ltd.

The position is suited for engineers (Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science) (Major in AI or Quantum computing) who wish to develop expertise in intellectual property law.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, innovation, and legal strategy, with hands-on experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic IP portfolio development for technology-driven clients in Israel and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications
• Conduct prior art searches and patentability analyses
• Assist in freedom-to-operate (FTO) and infringement analyses
• Communicate with inventors, foreign associates, and patent offices
• Support strategic IP portfolio development for technology-driven clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science) (Major in AI or Quantum computing) (mandatory)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
• Strong technical understanding and analytical skills
• Ability to understand complex technologies and translate them into clear language
• High level of attention to detail and strong research capabilities
• Self-motivated, responsible, and interested in building a career in intellectual property law
