Aeronautical Engineer – Performance, Simulation & Control

An innovative startup company located in Yokneam, developing an advanced hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft, is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field.

• Perform flight performance analysis, including aircraft dynamics analysis and aerodynamic modeling.
• Develop, run, and validate multidisciplinary flight simulations (flight mechanics, aerodynamics, control).
• Design and tune control loops, with emphasis on transition from hover to cruise.
• Work closely with software, electrical, and mechanical teams to integrate models, algorithms, and control components into the overall system.
• Support test planning and execution, including flight data analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of proven experience working with flight systems, aerodynamic models, and performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of flight mechanics, aircraft dynamics, and flight control systems.
• Experience developing or using simulation environments such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent analytical tools.

• In-depth familiarity with Pixhawk flight controllers.
• Hands-on experience with VTOL platforms, including flight testing, control tuning, and transition phases.
• Familiarity with electric propulsion systems, including motors, ESCs (Electronic Speed Controllers), and batteries.
