Backend Team Leader

We are looking for a sharp, experienced, and forward-thinking Backend Team Leader to lead a global development team. In this role, you aren’t just a manager; you are a technical navigator and process owner. You will lead a high-performing team of Backend / Full Stack Engineers, mainly Node.js( & React) to deliver scalable, high-quality infrastructure and integrations.

You will be responsible for the team’s successful execution at the sprint level, ensuring that we don't just "deliver code," but build robust, AI-enhanced systems efficiently and with uncompromising quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Leadership & Sprint Execution

• Ownership: Lead the team’s execution across several workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery within every sprint.
• Strategic Planning: Own the Sprint Planning process
• Coordination: Act as the primary bridge between your team and other departments to remove blockers and support cross-team dependencies.
• Growth & Velocity: Continuously improve team velocity and individual capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and identifying skill gaps.
• Technical Excellence & Design
• Robust Architecture: Own the technical design of team features, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and "clean."
• Hands-on Contribution: Lead by example by participating in high-scale, cloud-based development (AWS, MongoDB) and conducting rigorous code reviews.
• Product Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers to shape features from initial concept through to production.
• AI-First & Performance Mentality
• AI-First Mentality: Integrate AI tools and workflows into the daily development lifecycle (e.g., AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and prompt-driven prototyping) to act as a force multiplier for the team.
• Efficiency & Quality: Drive a "Get Things Done" culture where speed does not sacrifice stability. You are responsible for ensuring the team uses the best modern tools to work smarter, not harder.
  
  

• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on development experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Node.js (must-have) and React (preferred). Familiarity with AWS (must-have) and MongoDB is highly preferred.
• The "AI-First" Spark: You are an early adopter of AI technologies and are passionate about finding ways to use AI to improve developer experience and system performance.
• Outcome-Driven: A proven track record of managing project execution and delivering end-to-end features in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a global team and communicate complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
