Software Architect for a SaaS Platform

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Architect to lead the design and development of our new next-generation SaaS platform. In this role, you will define the technical vision and architecture for systems that process high-volume sensor data in real time from IoT devices, enabling intelligent autonomous systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design high-throughput data pipelines capable of ingesting and processing massive streams of sensor and telemetry data
• Design IoT fleet management solutions, including device provisioning, OTA updates, monitoring, and command & control
• Define and implement architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across the software organization
• Connect and integrate cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as IoT Core, Kinesis, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and DynamoDB
• Collaborate with product, data science, and embedded teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• B.Sc. / MSc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a leading university
• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in software architecture or collaborating closely with software and algorithm teams

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in building high-performance services, SaaS / IaaS / PaaS
• Proven track record designing and operating microservices architectures at scale
• Extensive experience with message brokers and pub/sub systems: Redis Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Strong background in AWS cloud services, particularly IoT Core, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and related data services
• Experience with IoT fleet management — device lifecycle, connectivity, telemetry collection, and remote management
• Deep understanding of high-throughput, low-latency system design for real-time data processing
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound architectural trade-offs

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards and cybersecurity, including FIPS 140 and FedRAMP
• Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or edge computing platforms
• Background in ML/AI inference pipelines and model serving at scale
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
