Senior Data Scientist

One of our clients, a global leader in infrastructure and agriculture with over 10,000 employees worldwide, has established an AI Center in Israel and is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist.

The Israeli AI unit consists of approximately 20 professionals and is based in Tel Aviv. While it operates within a large global corporation, the atmosphere and working style feel very much like a small, focused startup - agile, hands-on, and impact-driven - backed by the resources, scale, and stability of a major international organization.

The Israeli AI Group is an internal unit responsible for developing advanced AI solutions that optimize critical business processes across the organization, including:

• Supply chain optimization
• Factory scheduling and production planning
• Manufacturing process optimization
• Operational process automation

The focus is practical, business-driven, and production-oriented — not only theoretical research.

Role Overview

This is a highly senior (Principal-level) position combining:

• Deep algorithmic and data science expertise
• End-to-end ownership
• Direct collaboration with business stakeholders

The role involves leading real AI solutions that reach production and directly impact the company’s global operations.

What You Will Do

• Lead AI initiatives end-to-end - from problem identification to production deployment
• Design and implement advanced algorithms and AI agent-based systems
• Translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions
• Work closely with software engineers and business stakeholders
• Continuously improve models already deployed in production

This role combines strong algorithmic thinking, system-level understanding, and execution capability.

Key Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field (M.Sc. – advantage), with academic excellence
• Experience in elite R&D units in research and development roles
• At least 5 years of experience in data science or applied research
• Strong Python expertise . Experience with Pandas, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch (advantage)
• Experience with Generative AI and Foundation Models – advantage
