Senior Backend Engineer

🚀 Senior Backend Engineer | Petah Tikva | Full-Time

A leading company in its field is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Core Engineering Team within a new and innovative technology division.

We are building a new intelligent system from the ground up. This is a true core engineering role with real architectural ownership and long-term impact.

You will design and implement a production-grade, event-driven system that transforms unstructured data and complex relational context into a reliable and consistent operational state.

• Design and implement production-grade Python backend services
• Architect event-driven workflows and manage long-lived system state
• Model complex data relationships and ensure system-wide consistency
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and end-to-end lineage
• Own correctness, reliability, and system integrity in production

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience in backend development using Python
• Experience building and operating systems in large-scale production environments
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and state management
• Experience designing data models using relational and/or NoSQL databases
• High ownership mindset and accountability for system outcomes

• Experience building AI/ML-powered systems in production
• Experience working with unstructured data, document processing, and data extraction (NLP, OCR, etc.)
• Experience designing knowledge representations, knowledge-based systems, or relationship-rich data models
• Experience optimizing AI/ML systems for performance and cost efficiency
• Bachelor’s degree – advantage
