DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic 2-person team at a fast-growing company managing a complex microservices architecture on AWS. You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, implementing cost-effective solutions using spot instances and GitOps practices, while ensuring high availability and performance of our sports betting platform.

This role requires deep hands-on experience with AWS services, advanced Kubernetes networking, and proactive problem-solving skills to support our 50+ microservices across multiple environments.

Role Responsibilities:

Maintain and optimize our AWS-based Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure across multiple environments

Design and implement cost-efficient architecture solutions using spot and reserved instances

Manage and scale 50+ microservices while ensuring high availability and performance

Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform

Optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and improve deployment reliability

Lead FinOps initiatives including cost monitoring, resource optimization, and infrastructure efficiency

Ensure security compliance, IAM best practices, and network-level hardening

Monitor system health using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and custom alerting mechanisms

Troubleshoot complex production issues in high-pressure, real-time environments

Requirements:

3–4 years of hands-on DevOps experience with strong expertise in AWS architecture, EKS, and Kubernetes runtime operations

Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking (CNI, Karpenter), pod scheduling, and cluster troubleshooting

Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Helm for complex deployments

Advanced knowledge of AWS services including VPC, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, MSK/Kafka, Kinesis Firehose, IAM, and VPC endpoints

Experience implementing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD

Strong Linux networking fundamentals and bash scripting skills

Monitoring and observability expertise with Prometheus and Grafana

Experience with microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines

FinOps and SecOps mindset with proven experience in cost optimization and security best practices
