We are preparing to engage institutional capital aligned with the scale and ambition of recent frontier AI financings in Silicon Valley.

This role is designed for a finance leader who has directly led or materially contributed to large institutional fundraising rounds and understands how capital structures shape category-defining companies.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Founding CFO to serve as a core executive partner to the CEO.

The immediate mandate is to review and institutionalize our existing financial model and architect the company's first major institutional fundraising round. This is not a reporting or compliance role. This role will initially be focused on structuring, syndicating, and executing a significant institutional raise for a compute-intensive frontier AI lab.

Compensation at this stage is primarily equity-based, reflecting the foundational nature of the role.

What You Will Lead

Institutional Capital Strategy

• Architect and lead the company’s first major institutional fundraising round.
• Engage Tier 1 Israeli VCs, crossover funds, Silicon Valley venture firms, sovereign capital, and strategic investors.
• Structure equity and strategic financing aligned with capital-intensive AI infrastructure.
• Design an investor syndicate capable of supporting long-term hyperscale growth.

Financial Architecture & Institutionalization

• Review, pressure-test, and refine the existing financial model to institutional standards.
• Develop capital allocation strategies for compute-heavy R&D.
• Prepare governance, reporting frameworks, and board-level financial structures.

Executive Partnership

• Translate frontier AI R&D ambitions into a credible institutional financial narrative.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and founding team.
• Represent EQE with authority across Israeli and US capital markets. 

Ideal Profile

• Former CFO / VP Finance / senior finance leader at a VC-backed deep tech, AI, semiconductor, or infrastructure-heavy company.
• Direct experience leading or materially contributing to large institutional fundraising rounds.
• Deep connectivity within the Israeli VC ecosystem (critical).
• Strong relationships across Silicon Valley venture and crossover capital (major advantage).
• Experience operating in capital-intensive or infrastructure-driven businesses.
• Comfortable joining at pre-seed with equity-based compensation.
• Motivated by long-term company building and generational upside.
