Data Software Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking a Data Software Engineer with strong data expertise to design, implement, and improve Vinesight’s backend systems that power its narrative intelligence platform. Your role will involve working collaboratively to impact our product and service capabilities, and contributing to our growth and success in the narrative intelligence space. As an early-stage startup, there's the fast-pace that comes with it: we make rapid decisions, shift priorities quickly, and you'll often be figuring things out as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, strengthen, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze social media content.
• Collaborate within the team and across departments; mentor others and share knowledge proactively to implement technical solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of features — from design to testing to deployment — with an understanding of how your work impacts the bigger picture.
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience (4+ years) in building data analytics infrastructure.
• Solid comprehension of distributed systems and cloud-oriented development (AWS experience is a preference).
• Ability to deliver clean, well tested code.
• Strong understanding of large-scale database systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills. Strong communication abilities are a must.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Passion for the AI industry and experience with its tech is a plus.
